All you need to know about the Banda del Mar 23 beach studio E1 (no sea views)
Where to park
Parking is free in the street and therefore it can be difficult to find a spot at Calle Banda del Mar, although you may be lucky to find parking within a 100 meters from the house. We advise to unload first (at the load/unload sign opposite the house) and then look for parking.
Please make sure to not leave your car too long at the load/unload parking spot.
Indicated in green is where you are most lucky to find any parking.
Where to find the entrance and get your keys
Walk into the alley and turn left at the end.
Directly to your left is the brown front door (Calle Pedraza Paez Nº 22) that gives access to your studio on the ground floor.
The key locker below holds your keys. The code to open the key locker can be found in the information we sent when you booked with us.
There’s a second key set available inside the house.
Please be aware that the front door locks when you close it, so always take a key with you when you go outside.
Tips about the house and more
Café and Tea
There’s a French coffee press, and there’s always freshly ground coffee available. And tea, of course.
Amenities
For your convenience, you have access to a wide range of appliances in the apartment, such as a toaster, milk frother, kettle, oven with grill and microwave, NutriBullet blender, washing machine, dishwasher, smart TV, iron + ironing board, clothesline, and hairdryer. You also have portable and comfortable chairs available for use on the beach.
WiFi
WiFi is provided through a fast broadband connection. The username and password can be found in the booking confirmation message that was sent to you when you made your reservation with us.
Garbage
You can dispose of your garbage in the container in front of the street. If you want to recycle, you’ll need to head east for about 300 meters where you’ll find more containers for different types of waste, such as bottles, plastics, and paper.
Supermarkets
In the image below, we show you where to find nearby supermarkets. The best selection is offered by Mercadona, followed by Carrefour and Dia. There’s also a local market nearby, indicated with a circle on the image.
Restaurants, Things to See and Do
Right outside your door, there are many good restaurants to try. The nearest restaurant is “casa Manuel de la Lonja” which offers a great paella and fish.
A bit further east, there’s “El Tintero”, famous for its waiters walking around with fish dishes, shouting, and singing about what they have to offer.
“Kraken” is a pleasant place, famous for its grilled octopus.
Further west, towards Pedregalejo, you’ll discover many good restaurants like “Maricuchi” for seafood, “Ciao” for pizza, “Misuto” for sushi, and lively bars. For a slightly higher cost but a fantastic contemporary atmosphere and cuisine, “Hermanos Alba” is a great option.
If you wish to explore the center of Málaga, we recommend taking an Uber or a taxi. For less than 10 euros, they’ll drop you off in the heart of the city. For an elegant dinner in downtown Málaga, we can recommend “La Cosmopolita” and “La Cosmo” (similar names but different restaurants). You might also consider having a glass of wine and an oyster at “La Medusa” as an appetizer. “El Refectorium Catedral” and “PaloCortado” are also highly recommended.
There’s so much to explore in Málaga city – museums, markets, bars, the Gibralfaro Castle, and more. Some good websites to visit for more information are: https://www.justapack.com/things-to-do-in-malaga/
Rooftop Bars
Something fun and recommended is enjoying a drink at one of the rooftop bars: https://www.therooftopguide.com/rooftop-bars-in-malaga.html
Bike Rental
You can rent bicycles nearby at “Mys Bicicletas”.
Electric Scooters and Yego
There are several places on the street where you can rent an electric scooter. It’s also recommended to subscribe to “Yego” which offers electric mopeds at an affordable per-minute price.
Kayaking and More
At “Kayak & Bike”, they offer a wide variety of water activities and disciplines, such as Paddle Surf excursions, wave SUP, SUP Wing Foil, SUP Yoga, tourist or family kayaking, sit-on-top mid-range kayaking, closed-sea kayaking, and fishing kayaking. They also have a selection of wetsuits for the colder months. Their website is available here.
